- Laura Hammond`s second book, Handcuffs and Roses is a wondeful blend of the psychic, the police story and the BDSM erotic story. Lisa is a cop who gets viions of the present that help the department solve crimes. She`s also been a submissive ever since a vision from an old case projected her into the body of a submissive involved with the case. The story starts with a child kidnapping and a new partner for Lisa. It soon happens that the two partners share a love for BDSM, on the opposite sides of the ropes, as it were. The police drama and the sexual story are nicely blended. Nothing suffers and the reader wins with an excellent story.
- Hammond also indulges in a little bit of fun with the reader. The case that sparks Lisa`s attraction to BDSM is in fact, her first book, and we get to see Peter and Dana briefly at the end of this one. Nicely done.
